Collecting Seeds after the Spring Thaw

jamnei

Had great success last year with seedling Sweet Millions Cherry Tomatoes, Roma's and Goldmine yellows bought from the local farmers market.

Left a few of each on the vines just after labour day and they were still there after the snow cleared all dried up with seeds inside them. I managed to scrape out loads of seeds and have set them aside in paper packets to dry.

This year I was hoping to grow from seed and was wondering if seeds that spent all winter frozen need any special treatments to help them get started. Should I expect these seeds to germinate as well as store bought stuff or seeds that were put away at harvest time?
