Please post here if you are coming to the swap and how many will be in your party, including kids, friends, spouses, dogs, - well you get the picture. Just need an approximate number so we can plan lunch. Thanks - Brenda

cut down a tree yesterday & am paying for it today: can't move parts of my body I didn't even know I had! so I'm updating my list (any excuse is a good excuse, right?) Here's what I have: ..................Has.....................Wants Deb: name tag...................crinum (I think the Vick's plant has returned to the earth, but if it shows any green, I'll bring it.) Donna.....................................crinum Rebecca......dog treats...........no entry-Did I miss something? Dorothy..... no real entry, but I have seeds from May's house for her cockscomb, don't know if it's dwarf or not, it's about 16" tall? Lin.....variegated aspidistra,................shade plants ........tall pink Mexican petunia ........aloe Alley......cannas.........................Turk's cap, blue mistflower, Louisiana irises April.....shea butter balms..........many mints, drought-tolerant perennials (I know I'll have Brazilian rock rose, lamb's ears, white yarrow, maybe yarrow Papriks, which is red). Tina.....lemon mint (lots) & cannas......pots! Tessa...tomato seedlings, loquat..............ginger Weldon.....pink or white kolanchoes........aucuba (just cut & stuck them this morning!) Danna....evergreens?....................tough roses Julie...yellow ice plant, pink mum.........lamb's ear, crinums, Bridal Wreath cuttings if they root, ginger if I can find, bulbs depending on what I can find Carrie......ice plant, tall cannas............mauve crinum If I've omitted anything, please let me know. off to take an aspirin... OK - here's what I have as far as pre-arranged trades: Brenda - for lunch, I'm bringing obedient plant and some salvias. Cheryl - for painted pots, I'm bringing striped cannas. Heather, for a daylily and Danish flag poppy seeds, I am bringing a rooted Confederate rose cutting and winter honeysuckle. Nik - for white iris, tiny pecan, and raspberry, I am bringing two of the primrose jasmine (and your pick of something else). Pam - for short yellow cannas, I am bringing striped cannas (Pretoria and Tropicana). Phyllis - for blue sedum and a pink lily, I am bringing Carolina buckthorn and a primrose jasmine. Sally - for sweet flag, I am bringing elderberries. Susan - for bog sage and solidago fireworks, I am bringing some rooted fig cuttings (and care info) plus your pick of anything that catches your fancy. Just to list some extras that I hope to remember: : bay leaves (if I remember where I put the bag of them) - these are also good for keeping bugs out of your pantry, even if you don't cook with them. : Carolina buckthorn : Cashmere bouquet : Eastern red cedar seedlings : Elderberries : Hall's honeysuckle : obedient plant : a friend with a lot of great stuff of her own potted up Can't wait! Hi Angie, it would be nice if you could get here around 10:45. I really appreciate your help. I think I should give you one of Jolana or PJ's plants for being so nice. lol Here are the directions to the plant swap: I've had several people ask for directions to the plant swap and it's a good thing they didn't map it on the internet because both mapquest and yahoo maps have it wrong. They both say to take Thousand Oaks to Yvonne Dr. but Thousand Oaks is a deadend street. Here are directions to the plant swap from Loop 820 in Ft. Worth. DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO THE PLANT SWAP DO NOT TRY AND USE THE MAPS ON THE INTERNET OR YOUÂLL GET LOST Map quest and Mapit both have it wrong. From 820 in Ft. Worth you turn onto I-35W south, head south and stay on I-35W until you see the Hwy 174 Cleburne exit. This will be in Burleson. Head south on Hwy 174 (which is also called Wilshire Blvd) until you come to Joshua. When you come up a small hill, youÂll see an Assembly of God church on the right. In front of the church is Main St. Take Main St. and go three streets down to Yvonne Dr. ItÂs the 7th house on the left 1011 Yvonne Dr. Look for the birdhouse mailbox. If you have any questions or get lost then call me Carol 817 447-3438. ItÂs real easy to find.

I think there should be 8 total unless I get my son to also come with me.
Me, 3 grands, Donna & her son, my other next door neighbor Lisa & her daghter in law.

I will try to confirm that everyone is still able to make it & verify next week by Wednesday. That should give you enough time to plan food. ;o)

Husband and I will be there with plants and stuff - but no lunch. :-( on very restrictive diet. . . but its working!!

Brenda, it will be me for lunch only - the Kinkster (my scruffy big dog) will probably be with me but not eating - by then we'll either be celebrating his Canine Good Citizen or doing more training for the next test!

There will be 2 of us plus 2 dogs. This is my second swap, and I am confused about the lunch part... do I bring something to share? Do I swap for lunch?? Do we picnic it??

Thanks for the responses so far. Keep it up. Good to see we will have some canine swappers among us. I can't wait to meet the Kinkster. Anyone can feel free to bring a side dish if they wish. We work on the KISS principle - "Keep It Simple Silly" Hot dogs, chips/dip and drinks are pretty easy and they are portable - you can walk around trading and eating at the same time. In the past various people have brought cookies/cakes, etc. to share and Weldon makes some killer crackers.

Hey Brenda - I was going to bring you a big pot of mixed perennials and a bag of fertilizer, for my lunch.
What, do you think? As,I have been thinning things out.
So, I had a mix - of several types of plants. Plus, I saw your post that you have some sun, shade , etc....
I may, have grandson that day and he LOVES HOTDOGS!!!!!
We may have to cut him off!!!lol

I need to add another person to my list. I wasn't sure if my son could make it but he is and he's 33 yo.
So that's a total of 3 for me.

BTW, I owe you two more items for DH and DS

I have one of those Aqua Globes if you'd like one, What type of plants you like ....Salvia's I have an Autunm sage greggi, of the dormant type I have lady in red, Black and Blue salvia, I might be able to get a Blue Henry Duelberg salvia dug up? Rose of Sharon cutting's I have both double purple and double white with dark maroon center.

Barb - you were bringing me red salvia, creeping jenny and butter and egg plant. That should cover it. But I love all the salvias so if you have any spares that would be great.
