I thought of this the other day when I was busy finishing up my rest and relaxation swap.

I thought what a great way for us to share part of ourselves with each other.

Rules are:

Priorty mail with dc

Send on time-I want to go For July 30th,2007 as a send date

Which is a Monday-I just looked.

Here is how the Swap will go.

Send me your Name,Address,Email and Gw Name

This Swap will be a limit of 20 people.

When we reach that it will be a closed Swap.

Now for Details.Post so of your wants.Like plants,seeds,Beauty,food,hobbies-other than garden etc.

Then we will make a wish list of everyones list and everyone picks one thing from that list to send to everyone.

example I like lavender,so in every package someone may get a part of me,Or i like to cook,listen to music,

then when we have 20 people,Each person will send something from everyones wish list -20 items -dont have to be huge,It is sharing a bit of everyone with each other.

Please do not tell what you are sending of everyones list-Let it be a surprise.But send 1 thing from everyones list.

Can I ask a question? Would this be every one sending to everyone else (meaning each of us send out 20 different packages)? Because that would be close to $100 just for mailing...if going priority....
I just want to make sure I understand how it would work before I sign up. :O)

What nice people you are! Thank you so much for your kind comments. I love to spend time in the garden. I am only half joking when I say I work to support my garden habit. To be honest, I have not gotten the use from the composter that I should. I need to start over with the proper combination of browns and greens. (I have an old fashioned compost pile too, and it isn't as fussy.) The statues were a Christmas gift from my son and daughter-in-law a couple of years ago. I painted them to match everything else in my garden, mainly because I was foolish enough to leave them outside the first winter and it led to some damage from freezes. The tags are from Oakes. I love to know what a plant is named and otherwise could not remember all of them. There are about about a hundred and five or ten TB iris. I love the really bright ones. (Sheer Elegance is probably my favorite.) Mostly they are tall bearded iris, but I have Dutch iris and a few little tiny things that just appeared this year: I believe I did not get an item I ordered and got these little things instead. I do have one Japanese Iris that I've had for several years, and another odd type that is new... Can't think of the name, but it starts with an "S". Some of the iris are rebloomers...Village Tryst bloomed three times last year! I love the Japanese Maples too. I've had these for several years, and they are growing nicely. I have to prune the one in the back somewhat severely or it will kill off the others by stealing their sun. The one on the right was a gift from DH, and it has a lovely distorted almost sculptural look even when it is leafless in Winter. There is a smaller one that a storm knocked a big oak limb on that almost split it into two halves. I went out with duct tape, taped it back, and it healed up beautifully. Duct tape will fix anything, even a tree. I love to see the pictures of your gardens. I am enjoying this forum and the people who write here. kay

Thanks for the article. It was very informative. I tried to look up pictures of them and I also looked them up on ebay, but I can't seem to find any that look like mine at all. Does the chair that I have look original? How would I be able to tell if it is an original or a reproduction? There appears to be no markings on it at all.

Due to my schedule, I bought the CD-ROM course for somewhere around $250-295 (can't remember, it was too long ago!). I also bought the identical course book so that I could read it whenever convenient, underline, and take notes in the margins. I also took a $75 weekend classroom review course, and I think that really, really helped reinforce the preparation that I needed to pass both the end-of-course exam and the state exam. There's also an application fee, fingerprint fee, and testing fee that were all maybe $50-ish each. That said, I think it was all worth the $$$ whether or not I ever practice real estate (which I plan to do). Firstly, I learned in the review course that I had one week left to file for the homestead tax exemption, which I had learned was NOT automatic when we bought the house, like we thought. So, I probably saved the entire cost of all the courses and books just in property taxes alone for 2009. (But sadly learned that we overpaid in 2008). Also, I learned a lot about a lot. It's not just about sales contracts and disclosures. There's a lot about zoning and law and mortgages and roofs and businesses and appraisals and all kinds of good random stuff. And now (once my license is activated) I can accept a referral fee, gifts, or lunch for say, helping out with an open house, or directing a customer someone's way. So I would definitely recommend taking the course if you're working in an office!

with return postge? but how much would we send, we wont know how much it will weigh. and what about plants, will they be ok with two trips and waiting at your house for shipping?
maybe I don't understand this swap.

The way I understand it...Everyone gets a trade partner, like a regular robin swap, and then picks ONE thing from everyone's list to send to their partner. So everyone gets 20 different things (or however many there are doing the swap) from ONE person.

Like...I would pick one thing from Laurie's list, one from Rosies, one from Michelles...and so on...and send them to my swap partner.

Ok -I have to straighten this out.20 players is limit,
we make a wish list-we each get one swap partner.We send only 1 box.Then we take one item from each list and send it to our swap parter.

So it will be if we have 20 people we get something from our player-Is the something from me-expression and a little bit of you is each of the other peoples wish list-it is a sharing of each other.Does not have to be large -does everyone understand-?1 box 20 people one item of each person's list
