Bird of Paradise

Hi all. New to this forum and gardening. ( Tough to get responses here though.)

Anyway, after reading about these plants, I thought I would share one of those "miracle mistakes" with you.

I had bought a cut flower of the BoP at my local farmers market. Well, after it died, I decided I wanted to try and grow it, so I looked for seeds. After completely mutilating this poor thing, I found what I THOUGHT were the seeds in its feathers. They were basically "pinhole" size. Nothing at all like what I read it was supposed to be. So we planted all the seeds, along with the white "stringy" stuff they were attached to, we could get out of ALL its feathers in one pot, and now there are about 15-16 little seedlings coming up. ( I didnt think it would work!) If I get a response to this, if need be, I will take a picture. Just in case on the off chance that something else mysteriously got in there.
