Now the dimwit that stole it will have to find and steal a priceless African dwarf frog to sit on the priceless African dwarf water lily pad. This is what happens every time you take away somebody's rights to own guns. Instead of going out and robbing banks they are reduced to stealing rare water lilies. I pity the poor person if they get caught and slapped in prison... the other prisoners will ask what was your crime? err ahh um I stole a flower. Aw geeze! not another freakin' flower child... what is this world coming to? MOO

I haven't posted recently because rather unfortunately, the memory card containing all the photographs of the roses I have taken in the interim has been misplaced, so I've been a little frustrated about it. Anyway, here are some taken this morning: "Golden Celebration":

Sam, here's a fairly true to color photo of Spring's Promise. And here's a photo I took (in December, I believe), of some blooming japonicas at the US Arboretum. They were labeled as 'species' and the tag indicated they were from Korea. I suspected they were grown out from seed from one of the Barry Yinger Korean expeditions to find more cold-tolerant plants (read more in link below). These were pretty close to a true red to rose color, even though my camera did not capture it very faithfully. Note how the flowers do not open up all the way. Although your colors look even darker. So I don't know. But it's not Springs Promise. Read more: Plant Expedition
