Welcome to everyone!

The rules are short and sweet! All new people welcome, but you must send your box first! No exceptions. Boxes sent out by the 23rd, that being said, they should be sent before if possible.

May..... I give from my heart?...........

I want this to be about plants as much as possible but mainly, get to know your partner, use this as a reason to get to know someone you've never traded with. Lots of new people joining our group and we're glad to see that....

I don't want anyone feeling like you have to spend alot of money on sending a box, I want you to give from your heart!

This is NOT a seed swap, (if you want to include some, thats fine) but it time for plants, etc! Send what you...May give from your heart:)

Hiya Nikki, if you look at your photobucket album you will see the options on the top right side of the screen that says upload from "your computer, web url, cell phone or email", choose cell phone and then it will give you the email address to send your pictures straight from your cell to your photobucket account. I just did it for the first time the other day. They will send you a confirmation text message back to your cell. I don't know how to turn that part off though. I got a little annoyed at my phone buzzing every time I uploaded another pic! lol! Hey Karen, Mmmmmm, that cake and ice cream sound awesome! Chocolate cake and frosting are one of my favs! Wendy, Thank you so much for your box. I recieved it as I was walking out the door heading for my long drive to DC. I hurried and opened it and wrote a note to Jason with directions for the plants. The plants looked great and I love everything else that you sent :) Wendy sent me 4 plants, one that I know is sedum, and maybe a vine looking plant, and the other two I am not sure of. - pot hanger decorations, I do not know the 'real' name of what they are. But they are really cute and will look good on some of the pots that I painted :) -lighthouse statues -little stand with a flag -scrapbooking paper -butterfly windchime... that was my favorite!! If I forgot anything, please remind me! Again, I was on my way out the door, and I am writing from memory. Thank you so much Wendy, I loved your gifts!

Thanks for those great ideas, Mariann and Vic! We always boil it, which is probably most convenient, as I usually do two dozen or more at a time. But, if we just want one or a few, the microwave way sounds so easy!! And we have talked about doing it on the grill too, but haven't, so I really appreciate the detailed instructions on that!! My kids will eat so much corn!! Lily, my three year old, eats 3 to 4 ears when we have it. And Dylan and William each ate about 7 ears Monday night, I think! We had some left after dinner, and after they did dishes, they asked if they could eat some more. I said, sure, eat as much as you want, just leave some for Dad when he gets home. They each sat down and ate 4-5 more (as they had only had 3 with supper.) You can believe they were both up in the bathroom FIRST THING the next morning!! : ) I froze about 35 lbs. of whole kernal corn over the last two days, and Dave is going to pick more tonight. He was going to last night, but realized I have to can beans and freeze a load of broccoli and cauliflower today, so I think he gave me a bit of a reprieve! Thank goodness! Thursday is market day, so I'll be baking until I go there, but I'll plan on freezing corn again on Friday! I DO love seeing all these things pile up in the freezer and on my pantry shelves, knowing how much food we are stocking for winter!!! Becki

Monica, I am a stay at home mom and have felt very overwhelmed on occasion. Especially when the kids were babies. We sometimes feel as if we are not doing everything just right. The kitchen may be clean and the kids are happy and playing but the laundry has piled up. The flowers are weeded but now the toys are all over the house. Or finally everything seems to be picked up and in its place you can now relax for a while, oh no, wait, you need to start dinner! I still feel like that occasionally but then I stop myself and think I am only human. I have done quite a lot of work, we are getting take out. A rare thing in our house but a nice break from dishes after a long day is not a bad thing. I try to get several things accomplished every day but also try to do one thing that I want to do. Something that will make me happy. Not a regular chore, just something that I have been wanting to get done. If you go back to work you are going to need to ask your hubby for help with chores. It is just not possible to do all that you do now and have a full or even part time job. You need to make an agreement before you start back on which chores you would like him to help with. You will have a lot less stress this way. I love the idea of Christmas just appearing over night. I think it must have been amazing for my Mom and her brothers and sisters to wake up and see that miracle on Christmas morning. But! I need to tell you the downside of this... My grandparents stayed up all night getting all of this ready for the kids. Can you imagine all the cooking and cleaning up for company that had to be done on NO Sleep? AH! I am like you. I love to sit by the fireplace and watch the lights on the Christmas Tree. Seeing all the old ornaments with the new ones, ornaments we made when we were kids that mom gave back to us once we started our families, the ornaments the kids have made. A christmas tree is like seeing generations of family and tradition all together in one spot.

Yes Ma'am! We'll have loads of fun! I love the theme for this month. I always enjoy getting to know everyone here. I am happy that spring is finally showing it's smiling face and the plants are coming out of hiding. It is wonderful to be able to dig in the dirt again.

Hi Everyone!

Tracy to tomato plants finally went into the garden this past week! they are small, but fiesty, I cant wait! YUM YUM! also planted some cherry toms, Kellogs Breakfast and Red Zebra, Okra (shudder) millions of radish, beans squash and cukes! My winter squash, pumpkins and birdhouse gourds are really starting to take off now!

Your plants are settling in nicely now (3 days of rain got them off to a fine start) I have a question about the honeysuckle, I set the whole bunch into a big pot and cut the top growth back, the leaves are popping out all over, but there seem to be two different leaf types in that bunch, one is definately huneysuckle any idea what the other one might be?

I have a question.... if any of you have already been teamed up with certain people already and want to let me know please email me privately. (Thats not to mean you don't want to trade with them again, but I notice sometimes that some keep getting partners they just had from a different swap, hope you all get what I'm saying. lol Not promising partners, just maybe someone you've not received from before?
