I usually grow Hibiscus in the ground, but after losing so many last winter, I decided to try some exotics and put them in large pots with the recommened soil mixture. The Windjammer bloomed beautifully with six inch blossoms. The next buds became very large but the bud stems yellowed, the buds fell off and of course I lost the flowers. What's up with that? The leaves on the Windjammer are dark green and healthy looking but have a very curled surface. Anyone know if that is the habit of the Cajun hibiscus? I have sprayed for mites, etc.,and the rest the plants are doing well. Any help will be appreciated.

Not insecticide. Herbicide -- weed killer. What is it growing in? Pot or ground? If pot, what did you fill it with? If ground, what did you do to the soil before you planted?

Supersteak is a slightly wispy foliage plant and fasciated (fused) stems such in your pic are fairly common IME with it. The leaf roll in the bottom pic (and the stems in the top) is indicative as Donna said of soil moisture problems. If you have been getting heavy rains, much more than normal, that would explain it. If not then you have a watering issue - over-watering. Leaf roll poses no real threat to the plant as long as you eliminate the cause if possible. Dave
