I'm sorry it has taken me so long to thank my Secret swap buddy. I loved my package! First off let me say I have no Hoya's at all, so the cuttings were a surprise. I will be potting them up for the patio. Hmmmm, I see another addiction brewing???? Then there was a wall vase, rooting pots(very interesting)beautiful soap(no one will ever be allowed to use) a flower candle (for hurricanes) a wind chime, note cards and the cutest bug to hang off a pot. Oh and the purple slippers I will have to hide from my daughter. But best of all was the Chicken soup for the Gardener's soul. Friday nite I was with my daughter in Emergency. She's in Color guard and was dizzy. By the time they called me it had morphed into "collapsed and fainted." They gave her fluids and did tests and she's fine, but we didn't leaved until 1am which is way past this old lady's bed time. Of course I had to go to work and by Sat nite I was a lump, so I curled up in bed with my new book and read,laughed, cried and fell asleep. It was just what I needed. So Life is like a secret swap box. You'll never know what you're going to get. But if you try sometimes...you just might find...you get what you need. Happy Labor Day to all. I received the most wonderful package from Donna earler in the week. It had so many terrific plants and lots of very neat goodies. I love all bulbous plants and Donna really made my day with some Shampoo Ginger, Canna, Pink Crinium and Walking Iris plants. The package also included a Blue Agave and (OH Joy!) a Red Bird of Paradise. I've wanted a Bird of Paradise start for a long time. There were also some nicely packaged seeds of canna, yucca, yarrow, mixed zinna, poppies, larkspur, nasturtium and french marigold. And because she had ALL the bases covered there was still room in the box for some biodegradable potting cells, a gardeners organizer and some lovely bath and nail care goodies. Thank You, Thank You!! All my new babies are in their pots awaiting their place in the mixed bed that I'm putting in this fall.(or as soon as the weather cools LOL) Donna, I'm glad that you liked the Miracle Grow Liquid Feed. It's the best and easiest way to fertilize that I've found. You use it every couple of weeks and it's just amazing how things grow. This exchange was a great idea and a lot of fun. I emailed indyjoys partner and she was having a problem getting her package out right now. She asured me that she would send one though. Sorry I haven't been on lately as I am looking for a new job. Anyone need a Nurses Assistant in the Baraboo WI area? Sorry to the two gals who have not recieved a package. I will email Indyjoy's partner again. I understand that we all have things going on but we need to make sure we take care of trades as many people may not want to continue trading on here if they get stiffed too much. Carmen sorry that we had a name mix up I will take credit for that but it sounds like your package is on the way....and if it is even half as good as mine you will be very happy. Indyjoy if you do not get your package by next weekend let me know and I will send you one. I just found the best place to get plants and its been under my nose the entire time. A laddy near me sells plants from her house. She digs them up and puts them into plastic bags and sells them for next to nothing. I bought a hibiscus for a dollar! Who ho!
