Should I yank out or not?

I live in SO CAL and it's been a mild winter. I still have two plants growing, mostly leaves(there are flowers on them but they are not producing fruit). I usually yank out all my tomatoes every fall, but these two were so healthy and vigorous my heart could not do it.

Question--should I keep them till warmer weather to see if they will produce fruit again, or should I yank them out and start anew? I've seen postings here about this, but has anyone really seen a difference as far as Taste & Productivity? I want to know if tomatoes improve, get worse, or stay the same with age. BTW, the plants are Cherokee Purple and Kellogs Brkfst. Thanks!

Suzie
