Gwen don't feel bad. Katheria you shouldn't either. I wasn't familiar with the rules when I first came here. I was so worried about what I included in my first trade and felt terrible when the person I traded with sent me at least twice the amount that I sent them. lol I just think that many of us that used to post a lot of offers have cut back because of things that have happened such as what Poisondartfrog mentioned. I should have clarified when I said that I was annoyed by those who responded to all offers. I don't understand why someone, not a newbie, would reply to everything that was offered regardless what it was. For a newbie it's a way of building up a stash to use for trade and is understandable but not a member that's been here for long time. The most annoying to me are the people that respond but don't follow thru and it's been happening more and more lately. If you change your mind about an offer just let the person know that you changed your mind and no longer want it. That's no big deal and is just common courtesy. Karen I take the emailing cold as someone asking for plants or seeds that I haven't offered but just talked about in a post. I have no problem if someone asks me where I got something or if I'd be interested in trading. I've occasionally contacted someone regarding a plant they've posted about just because I thought it was interesting. Another thing that bothers me are the people that come here, respond to a bunch of offers then just disappear after they've gotten what they wanted. I see this mainly on plant specific forums. When I post an offer on the brug forum I open it only to people that regularly post. As for trade lists I don't have any posted because there's too many items and it changes too often but I do try to remember to let that be known when I post or respond to an offer. I just reread what I've written. I sound like a bi*ch. lol Really, I'm not : )

The delphinium worm is responsible for the damage on your delphiniums...when you see the growing tip curled up in the Spring, just give it a squeeze and you'll know when you get one of these critters. The plant usually recovers, but it IS unsightly for a while. I noticed less damage this year too, but I did find a couple of these worms. My roses are showing sawfly damage, so can't say that they are less of a presence this year...

I've emailed Spike for more info on setting up the faq and he sent me a response. With the encouragement from gluecille and raybeck and after checking out the faq for the stainglass and mosaic forum that Toomuchglass suggested to do, I think I'll go for it. Minnie, there are lots of questions you could ask about crafts for instance, what glue to use for what, how to decoupage, how to paper mache, etc. One of Spikes suggestions was to initiate a post asking what others on the forum would like to see on the FAQ page so after becoming the editor is finalized I will ask for input from everone. Oh, Ladydi. I had to laugh at your message directly above. I will never forget when I first learned how smart these babies are around computers. My youngest granddaughter was only 2 years old. I had her for the weekend. I was at my computer and was having some trouble getting out of a program or website or something (so long ago, I truly don't recall what the situation was), my little granddaughter came up and wanted me to pick her up and asked me what I was doing. Picked her up and told her I was trying to get out of whatever it was. She settled in my lap, reached up with her chubby little index finger and punched the ESC button, and I was out. I was so shocked; had never thought of using the ESC button. I am still in awe of and wonder how in the world she knew that would work. After she hit it, she looked up at me and said, "See, Grandma?" That memory is still so vivid in my mind, I even recall what she was wearing. 🤡
