Brenda - please try to make it. I won't allow anyone to comment on your offerings. I need my Brenda fix for the year. By the way, the deer have started to damage the 7.5 foot tall net fence I installed. So far they haven't done anything inside the garden but I'm spending way too much time patching the fence. This winter I'm putting up wire and going all the way to 8 feet!!!

Hey Bev, I have Texas Bluebonnet growing in our field. I didn't collect any seeds from it this past year but if you don't get any in a trade let me know and I will be sure to get some this year. P.S. did the shooting star (daisy) that I sent you last year grow, mine did very poorly (terrible year here) so I ordered some new seeds. If they didn't grow I can save more and send some too. I found JD's Special C-Tex at a grocery store south of Austin TX. If anyone is in the area, still has room and has been looking for this plant, I found a bunch of them at the HEB Plus in Kyle TX. I've been looking for this plant for months as the two someone was kind enough to give me didn't make it. (Obviously, I'm a bit excited). Oh, and they were expensive. The cost was $0.98 each. :-)

And for those interested, Glenn Drowns at Sandhill Preservation will be listing them next year according to Darrel Jones, who posted that somewhere/elsewhere. With well over 100 different so called blacks available it always amazes me that folks seem to zero in on one variety, which I call the variety of the year.( smile) Is it the BEST dark colored variety around? I don't know from personal experience even though a nice lady from TX ( winki) sent me a few seeds this past Spring, but I didn't have room this year to grow it out. Remember that Green Giant was the variety of the year to have a couple of years ago, and KBX has moved into that category as well, KBX being a great PL Kellogg's Breakfast, which Glenn will also have for 2009, the tomato Gods and Goddesses willing. LOL And for next year I predict............. Carolyn
