Nik, I think there were several instances of R. foetida and R. spinosissima hybrids back in the day, resulting in the set of siblings/cousins we know as 'Harrison's Yellow', "Old Yellow Scotch", and 'Williams' Double Yellow'. I've also read that other yellow-tinted Spinosissimas out there likely resulted from seedlings of those crosses, intended or not. :-) ~Christopher
