The price for the compost is around what I would expect to pay where I live - be sure to go and look at what you are buying. I would get the compost - the dirt at your house is probably better than what they mixed with their compost to make the soil mix. If you have a place to have them dump it (and store it out of the way), it might make more sense to get 4 or 5 yards delivered - it seems like you might be doing a lot of planting eventually. If there is not much wrong with your existing soil I would make low raised beds by working 4 or 5 inches of compost into the top 8 inches of your soil. I would line it with bricks or block, it will be 6 inches + deep (which works well for me.) With that much area and the number of things that you want to grow, I would go with a few beds instead of just one large one - you will have less of the worked area used up for space between the plants. I like your videos, it seems like you are having a lot of fun and is a good way to log progress. In your garden clean up video the plant with the new plants from its base is called a "hen and chicks" or similar. Congratulations on the house and engagement. Best wishes for the future.

No time for videos, but Ida, I love to hear my church choir sing "It is Well With My Soul". They do the last verse acapella. If you don't know the background of the old hymn, look it up. KSWL, cool pic of the fox! We had a little red fox who was living in one of our landscaped areas (scooted an area underneath a small tree). Sadly, he no longer comes around. One of our community websites caught a picture of him with an injured leg (hit by a car?) and ever now and then I wonder about him. :( Have a great day all!

I ran into a couple of the Uncle Roger videos this past weekend. He's funny. Turns out Hersha, whom he panned her rice making, didn't get upset or if she did, it didn't last. She turned it around into her own humor and fun, and made friends with the guy who does the Uncle Roger act. Jamie Oliver remains silent... While I won't be making Oliver's egg fried rice, I did make his shepherd's pie in the past and it was GOOD. At least he knew to use lamb. I came back because last night I discovered a new channel: View from the Road. The woman who does this cooks mostly authentic Mexican, with some Tex Mex and some Korean-Mexican recipes (her children are Korean-Mexican), and a few other things. She seems worth following. And I forgot to mention "My Name Is Andong" - a YouTuber in Germany who tries a variety of foods and explains their "whys".
