Crazy question about plywood bottoms

OK, let me get this out there first: Sometimes I worry about silly things. LOL

With all the talk about formaldehyde from the FEMA trailers (which comes from things like pressed wood)... it got me thinking.

Mel advises people to use plywood for bottoms of raised (off the ground) boxes.

I did this with 5 of my own boxes... put them on rolling casters so I can move them around my concrete patio depending on the season and the sun exposure. They're great so far.

But now I'm quietly wondering if the glues from the plywood might leach into my food. I don't know what other chemicals might be in the adhesives, but I know formaldehyde is in both kinds of plywood (the fancier and the rough outside-grade stuff).

My husband thinks I'm being stupid... and he is a bit perturbed by the question since he did most of the hard labor building them and mixing mel's mix. Wants to use them forever! LOL

Am I just nuts to worry about this?

Snibb, if you're reading... any idea what Mel might say about the health risks of plywood? (Or maybe there's none... and that's why he tells people to do it.)

Thanks!
