Update on the middle ear - I had this for over six months, went to one MD who gave me antibiotics, despite me insisting that I did not have an infection. No change. Went to a second MD who told me to try antihistamines. I tried and they helped but didn't get rid of the ailment. And I don't like to take stuff like that on a regular basis. Then finally went to an ENT who prescribed steroidal nasal spray and told me I needed to use it for three months. Um, no. I don't think so but thanks anyway. Gak. Steroids have too many known side effects and rebound effects. Meanwhile I read that it takes a while to go away on its own. I've never tried any nasal sprays in my life, but in researching online I decided to try saline spray. I got it on Monday. After twice a day spraying with holding the saline solution in my sinuses with my head laid towards my affected ear, the plugged up ear is almost totally fixed! After all that frustration and useless medical establishment. I believe the swollen eustachian tube was a result of allergies, exacerbated by living in the middle of a remodel, which is also finished now. I cleaned most of the dust from every room. I have just one room full of boxes left to do, and I am doing it slowly to make sure I don't kick up and breathe the dust. Spring allergens are in force right now also, so maybe your friends' allergies are kicking up too. I got Arm and Hammer saline nasal spray from Amazon.

I can report that the magic eraser isn't working for me today. Or the non-acetone fingernail polish remover. Or the glass top range cleaner. I went to the GE II website and found this: For ceramic tile, marble, Formica>Ã>, fiberglass, etc., use 100% mineral spirits (turpentine) and a non-abrasive scouring pad. Test solvent on a hidden area of the surface to ensure that discoloration will not occur. If discoloration does occur, contact the manufacturer of the surface for further assistance. For glass surfaces, use a razor blade to remove as much as possible, then apply mineral spirits. Remove excess as much as possible, then apply mineral spirits. Remove excess with a towel or other suitable cleaning utensil that will not mar the surface (such as a non-abrasive pad). We did a facelift in our kitchen, saving us thousands of dollard, due to Magic Erasers! I love my kitchen cupboards but they were looking every bit of their 24 years old. We had to do something so I figured there was nothing to lose. I scrubbed them down with Magic Erasers, rinsed them with whited vinegar water and then used paste wax on them. Even my cleaning lady thought we had bought new cupboards.
