A way close a thread

I often wondered if there could be a way to close a thread, especially in the trading areas. I know you can post that the seeds/plants are gone but a lot of people don't bother to read all the post. It can become a nuisance answering everyone that the items in question are gone. I feel ignorant if I don't let them know though.

Hoping others feel the same and we get enough feed back to get an edit or closed button!!

It's hard to miss that.

Many people see a seed offer and don't bother reading any requirements you may have. Many scroll to the bottom and ask for seed after the offer has been closed. I tell people up front that if they don't follow my instructions I will not respond to their post and ignore them. You should do the same and not feel guilty about it.

I just wanted to pop in and post a link to a page with instructions on how to use HTML code to enhance GW messages. For example, the page explains how to use larger text with different colors.

Q. Why I revive old threads? A. No other way to contact the original poster. The truth is Houzz really isn't a forum. It doesn't look like, it act like it, and I'm pretty sure that it is designed differently. The search functions are different. The way 260 comments show up on one page is different. To be honest I didn't even know there were admins until I read this. There are no stickys. Random rules that yo aren't aware of until you read a comment 30 threads in 4 comments down. I had found a couple of answers to my questions but the thread was too old and initially I didn't want to revive it. One of them the user is still currently active but I don't want to derail a thread by asking something unrelated to the subject. I tried clicking on their page but there is no way to PM so I just ended up following them. Then I found another thread and said WTH and decided to ask because their answer is a little more relevant than the ones I asked for. Other than reviving an old thread to get an answer what would be the best way to get a response from the original poster?

There is probably a lot in the house that is crooked. New home builds I've been in are filled with them. Some are bigger than others of course. I found one in a new build I had done the first day after we closed and I figured it would bug me forever. Nope, I forgot about it and it's a non issue now. It's funny how things can feel like a big problem at the time but really aren't. You go into it expecting a new build to be "perfect"- but then you realize perfect is an illusion. But I agree this needs pictures. It might be fine, it might be a oh hell no.

Some years back, i posted a tale of having plans for a camp kitchen, and i got inundated with pleas for the plans! With no way to remove an ad, after i got tired of it, I finally had to post another message, saying i was no longer sending out free plans! Even with that, i still got letters about free plans. And, it is about time to post another ad, saying no more plans! And, i still get questions, and even some nasty letters, asking how i could be so nasty about not sending plans!
