I just sent some seeds off on one of my trades. I fit 5 small plastic baggies spread out within the bubble sleeve inside a regular, business-sized envy, so I figure it's anywhere from 1--5 baggies of seeds can go inside very easily, maybe even six. I do know that 5 just went and was weighed by the post office as less than 1 ounce. I got the 42 cent charge and a 20 cent non-machineable charge, so it mailed for 62 cents. (I really don't think it was non-machineable, but I wasn't going to argue this time. Do you know what non-machineable really is or is it anything they say it is? It wasn't rigid or what have you...) Anyways, that's not too bad for a trade of 5 different kinds of seeds. The envelope sleeve, even though brand new, cost only 22 cents each because I cut it down to fit inside a regular envy as a sleeve, so that makes a totaly of 84 cents is all. Plus, my mini-baggies I just got in only cost 1.5 cents a piece since I found them on ebay. Regardless, that's under $1 per trade even with everything being brand spank'en new. When I try to mail the bubble envies, I am being pegged to be over-charged almost every time now if I go inside the post-office. This particular trip I wasn't charged parcel or I would have sent the envy to you that I'm sending soon. But because they usually are overcharging me, I've chosen to mail with the appropriate postage after I've weighed and measured the envies here at home. I just got a scale, so that is already turning out to be much easier. I sure hope this isn't causing anyone I send to end up being charged "postage due". I'll make it right if it does as long as they let me know, but I'm sure not going to pay more every single time I trade than what I really owe just because once in a while someone is charged on the receiving end when they shouldn't be. Hi all, (I'm back after six months). Korina you just have a green and silver episcia. Good luck on ID'ing it to a named variety. You may come up with a good ID or it may always be questionable, since episcias change, depending on culture, time of year, mood etc. Spearmint generally makes bigger leaves and is vigorous. Mine, which I lost, came from Lyons. It was really nice, a simple silver and green pattern--very fresh looking. Faded Jade is one I grew years ago (an old Lyon's hybrid); it was noted for being a compact grower--which in episcias means generally smaller leaves and shorter stolons. But. for leaf pattern I would have to see them both again--the memory fails. And, there are other green and silver varieties out there. So, that is why I say that you may have to just accept its unnamed status. Although these all have the standard cupreata flowers, there are subtle differences to some of the cultivars so perhaps these two might have something that you could use to help, when comparing to a photo. Do I delete each account and then recreate it as IMAP? Will I lose the e-mails that have been saved under Local Folders? " One thing . . . my "Local folders" only contain Trash & Outbox. All my other Inboxes, etc. are within separate acct folders. I.E., each other acct. contains an Inbox, Drafts, Sent, etc. - outside of "Local Folders." Anyway, there's a good chance that after you create an IMAP acct., the email that you have already downloaded using POP mail, and deleted from the server - won't show up in the IMAP Inbox. You'd have to import them back in. Just to be safe, I would export all your email first so that you have it as backup. Then make new accts as IMAP. See if everything looks correct, or if you need to import anything from the backup you just made. Finally, delete the POP accts. There is a really handy addon tool for TB : ImportExportTools https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/?src=search (That page looks complicated, but the use of the tool is not) The two different ways to export using that tool are - (and you get to the choices by right clicking on "Inbox" or any other folder) : 1) "Export folder" (w/ or w/o structure) This makes an Mbox file of everything that you export. It makes for just a few simple files that aggregate everything within the respective folders. So you will end up w/ one Inbox file, one Drafts file, etc. "Structure" just means you will keep the nested structure of the folders. The disadvantage is that you can't read them later w/o importing them back first (using ImportExportTools). 2) "Export all Messages" (and choose "eml" format here) This exports each email as a .eml file - and you can identify and read each one separately later after exporting. So if you export 500 emails, you'll get 500 .eml files. You can batch import them though using ImportExportTools. And you can read them just by clicking on them individually. There's no harm in exporting both ways if you like. Just create separate folders so you can keep it all straight. Play around with it a bit until you get the hang of it. For all the people recommending this way to do email or that - this debate has been going on for years. There are advantages and disadvantages to each - it really depends on your needs. I wouldn't say that any one of them is "unusual" as someone commented - what's unusual to one is likely normal to someone else. Personally I use them all, and all for different purposes - no one method seems to work for every purpose. I do use web based email for the most part though. Last nite was almost the final straw. It was slow loading, as usual and a window popped up to say it was slow and do I want to switch to Basic view to speed it up? I did and when I clicked on my messages the Reply, Delete etc were all gone! So reading the messages was useless. The Options, Help and Sign out buttons weren't clickable either. Good Grief!!! I did read my mail using IE, but that isn't the point. What the heck? I don't like Gmail and don't want Hotmail, so not sure what to do. You guys are lucky, that can still use the old version. Under the Help button here one of the FAQ is if the old version can be kept and the answer is no, we can't use that one anymore. Oh, I cleaned my history, cache and cookies this morning. I do malware, spyware etc etc regularly.
