The sister's kids are 6, 8, 10, 12. The rest are the Swenson's. The kids saw their Mom get killed, I believe. When they were shouting "move the bus", one of the Lee girls had a melt-down, she saw a guy she thought looked like her mom's killer. They all huddled around her to shield her, and talked her through it (I don't think anyone outside the family and Ty really knew what was going on then). Here's a web-site about the family. The guy shot 2 people on his way to the plant. At the plant he shot 15-16 people, killing 3. The Hesston police dept probably has 1 officer on duty at a time and he was the first responder who went into the plant and shot and killed the shooter. The shooter posted videos on FB of him shooting an AK47 into a field. Plus pictures of him and his kids at the zoo here in Wichita.

I don't know if this is pertinent, but my Mother has bad feet, no diabetes, and three foot surgeries over the years haven't especially helped. Last visit I took her for, the foot surgeon suggested diabetic shoes and wrote a prescription for them, gave her a catalog of perfectly acceptable looking styles. Her insurance (Kaiser) declined payment because she isn't diabetic...if she were, they would have paid for the shoes was my take on how the Explanation of Benefits statement read.
