Reorganize Rate & Review

I find the forum not all that helpful in that people post for the same person in more than one post or for more than one on the same post.

Can you program to alphabetise the list, have separate lists for positive or negative feedback?

Can you have at the beginning of the list a block to type in the GW name so it will take you to the post(s) or pop up "No Entry" in oder to eliminate a new post for the same person or allow the person to post for the no entries and place it in the correct order on the list.

I understand with some of the posts, the way they are listed for "subject" would make this somewhat difficult. However if in the program you could instruct for all those that did not meet the criteria to come out on a separate list to be manually placed in the correct area.

The instruction area could be changed to advise the poster to Enter 1 GW name at a time . Separate posts are required for each member. Please do not do 1 post for several members but a separate post for each one in order that other members can add comments.

The sad thing is that some members have threads started on them with different variations of their name...with only one being 'correct'. One member has three threads and one could never be found on a search unless her first name was known and searched that way.

I think the instructions as they are are simple enough, and doubt if it would be an easy thing to make them foolproof via changing programming.

The instructions say...
To create the best user experience, please keep all reviews for a particular member in one thread and before posting a new thread, use the forum's search feature to see if one has already been started.
but there are always going to be some who will not read or follow them.

Additionally it says...
To report abuse or violations of our forums, please contact Member Services.

Maybe the incorrect posts should be reported...though I don't really feel they are violations...but instead just not following the rules completely.

I would especially like to see the member names listed in the subject line for those members who have been disappointing others...rather than a generic "Won't trade with" and then the name not placed in the subject line.
I can kind of understand the OP's feelings on that though, but I did post a member's name (in the subject line) along with "Won't trade with"

I'm not sure there's an actual Crinkle Blue look-alike. It's fairly distinctive although there are a lot of small blue ones. Well, that's refreshing. Of course, you can shop in person. Oh, it's just a hassle. The one was a phone call to try to arrange delivery, then a call back when he was at a show and busy when he said to email him. Sue, I just thought it would be better to separate the positives and the negatives and to put alphabetically to simplify. I also know by some of the posts that someone misread a post by just skimming it.
Perhaps if just the instructions were shortened to just:
TO POST:
1. Type person's GW name in search box at bottom of page
2. If post appears, add your comments
3. If no post appears start new post with person's GW name
only as subject

I'm sure no matter how it's done there will still be some posts done wrong. :O)

I have to agree that I like your simple instructions...can't get much simpler or plainer than that....but like you said, there will always be some who just will not read or follow the simplest of instructions.

I kind of like the idea of deleting all the 'incorectly' posted posts.

As far as separating the positives and the negatives, I have seen more than one mixed review for a member...good at times...and disappointing at times.

I also know by some of the posts that someone misread a post by just skimming it.
Now I am really curious about that.

I've seen this on several forums and some get a little heated over what is sometimes referred to as "misunderstanding" as read the post wrong.
I think the simpler the better for those that just like to do and not read long instructions.
