That does look like agastache (hyssop) -- some varieties of which may be hardy for you (including Blue Fortune, a bluish-lavender flowering form with long spikes); most others I grow in the DC area as reseeding annuals: . They bloom for a long time and many have nice scents. Though mine don't get nearly that many flower stalks; could be artistic license. This looks to be a late-summer display anyway, as yarrow often won't bloom til then, and the grasses are in full display. I am wary of these painted illustrations; unlike a (non-altered) photo they can raise unrealistic expectations of bloom time, size, and color. Hi, Just for interest sake -- I have this plant growing at home as well. I find that in winter it looks like its been thru a shredder but come the warmer months it bounces back to form a beautifully rounded bush. Around here (in Sydney Aust.) both crows and what we call currawongs (another bird) love eating the berry and I suspect that it is how the seeds may disperse. The fallen fruit will also produce seedlings where it drops -- these can be easily transplanted and grown on. Ted PS: Kids love to see how far they can roll the fruit down the driveway !!
