Hi, Carla. I'm not very good at describing fragrances, but there seems to be a little bit of a friuty scent mixed in there. All I can tell you is that is a really pleasant, sweet fragrance to my nose.
There's really only one type of rose scent that I don't like at all, and it's the type that comes from Clotilde Soupert ... that scent smells too heavy for me. Basye's Blueberry is a fresher scent.
I have seen a couple of mature Basye's Purple roses, and I can tell you that although they are both single blooms, the plants themselves couldn't be any more different. The Basye's Purple roses didn't look very bushy, while Blueberry is fairly bushy. Purple is really thorny and Blueberry is extremely smooth. But both have really interesting blooms, that's for sure. Basye's Purple blooms can be really striking, such a deep, rich color.
