NEW: 2008 Pedal Pushers Valentine Swap!

I'm doing this early for Valentines Day for a reason! All you have to do this month is send your Valentine a card!

How's that for easy? Only restriction is.............it can't be store bought! You must make it yourself, you can paint a pic, draw a smilie face, do a collage', pick your poision! I'm going to also ask that we make this really fun and when you receive, if you can post a pic of your "Valentine's Treat" or describe it to the very best of your ability so we can 'have a picture in our mind' of what you're describing, then please do it!

Someone "WILL" get a little something for the best Valentine Day Card!

Oh, I forgot, I'm doing this now so you have time to work on your cards and we need them so they're received before VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

I think this will be so much fun and we're gonna need fun in Feb.! lol (Even us in the South!)

Dee, you've passed the packaging test with flying colors!! Your box arrived and everything will make it just fine! I'm so happy with what you've sent: A very nice card and note Creeping Sedum - new for me Heliopsis 'Lorraine Sunshine' - Love the foliage on this!! Columbine songbird 'Cardinal' - LOVE this columbine!! Scabiosa pale yellow - I've been wanting this also :) Dianthus 'Telstar' - There is even a flower blooming! Viola - pretty colors that I don't have! Sweet William 'Heart Attack'- I love the color of this! Daylily 'David Kirschoff' Daylily Siloam 'Fairy Tale' Daylily 'Bela Lugosi' Daylily 'Nefertiti' I've googled these daylilies, and will absolutely love them blooming in my gardens!! Thank You soooo much Dee, for all of these wonderful flowers!!! I will get them planted and watered immediately! It's a nice cool day today. Last night we were in a frost advisory, and I've not been feeling well, picked up some kind of nasty cold virus, so I decided my plants were on their own. Didn't have the energy to go out and take care of them. Everything looked fine this morning. Tracy, hope your water situation was taken care of! Hiya Nikki, if you look at your photobucket album you will see the options on the top right side of the screen that says upload from "your computer, web url, cell phone or email", choose cell phone and then it will give you the email address to send your pictures straight from your cell to your photobucket account. I just did it for the first time the other day. They will send you a confirmation text message back to your cell. I don't know how to turn that part off though. I got a little annoyed at my phone buzzing every time I uploaded another pic! lol! Hey Karen, Mmmmmm, that cake and ice cream sound awesome! Chocolate cake and frosting are one of my favs! Wendy, Thank you so much for your box. I recieved it as I was walking out the door heading for my long drive to DC. I hurried and opened it and wrote a note to Jason with directions for the plants. The plants looked great and I love everything else that you sent :) Wendy sent me 4 plants, one that I know is sedum, and maybe a vine looking plant, and the other two I am not sure of. - pot hanger decorations, I do not know the 'real' name of what they are. But they are really cute and will look good on some of the pots that I painted :) -lighthouse statues -little stand with a flag -scrapbooking paper -butterfly windchime... that was my favorite!! If I forgot anything, please remind me! Again, I was on my way out the door, and I am writing from memory. Thank you so much Wendy, I loved your gifts!

Good afternoon! I recieved a fabulous box from Trina yesterday!!! Here is what she sent me: Southern Living Cookbook- So many great recipes in here!! I still haven't looked at everything! I love it!! Southern Living magazine Birdhouse Writing Tablet & Envelopes Matted & Framed Cross stich that says, Welcome Enter with a warm Heart. Did you make this Trina? Either way, I love it. It already has a home on my wall! Set of 4 Kitchen Towels (The Food Network) in beautiful colors, LOVE them! Set of 4 Kitchen Scrub Cloths (also The Food Network) I will get plenty use out of these! Oven Mitt with Silicone ( The Food Network) LOVE this also!! Cinnamon/Red Doile- Beautiful, its under a boquet of intense purple amaranth and Maximilum. Inside the doile were 2 beaded-handle spoons that are bent in a hook shape..I've never seen these before, but I'm using them to keep my towels in place on my oven door handle. (lol, Am I even close as to what these are for? I feel like a dummie) I do love them though!! and last but not least, a bag of mixed color Tulips. ME too Please. I'm not crafty at all but there should be some grandkids somewhere who might help.
I remember the elaborate project we used to make of creating the Valentine Mail Box when I was in elementary school all fussy and frilly with tissue paper layers and crepe paper ruffles. Oh, and paper doilies..... do they even make this stuff anymore?
Anyone remember making crepe paper Halloween costumes?Obviously I'm older than dirt but that was so much fun.

Oh, I remember those boxes, too!! :O) All the girls would make theirs so pretty & frilly & pink...then the boys would use black & blue & red....! LoL
Oooh, and the anticipation of getting a valentine from the boy you've got a crush on!! *sigh*
I never did get a valentine from the boy I wanted to. LoL
Oh well, I STILL love Valentines Day!! I decorate my house with red & pink paper chains...and cut out hearts from construction paper! Make pink & red cupcakes! I go nuts, I love it!!! LoL

Last year I made the kids heart shaped brownies with their names on them. That was easy and fun.
Yesterday I went shopping and found pink paper heart shaped doilies so I see they DO still make that stuff. This is going to be Kool! I can't wait to see who I get to send to

Hi gals! I've been really, really busy, and not on the pc much these days. I'm so ready for spring, and this cold weather makes me want it even more.

I start my long stretch again tonight, and won't be back home till next Friday. HEY, this will give me something to do while I'm on the road to pass my idle time, so yes, sign me up.

I hope all is well with everyone, and I miss coming in to visit.

Sassy, I am going to have to drop out. I am sorry but this month is going to be tough. I think I overdid it again (way to go trina). I know ya'll will have alot of fun. I just have too many things going on at home and prior swap commitments. I will still post and follow along with ya'lls sunshine I just can't participate this month.
