A Few Montana Roses...

All the bareroots I put in this spring are blooming now...thought I'd share a few pictures from our arid little corner of the state. :-)

These first two are Rio Samba...I dearly love this rose in all its different phases:

Then there's Lovestruck, who is gorgeous in the morning sun, but will need to be moved because she just gets fried next to my greenhouse:

Candystripe, guarded by my ever-viligant gnome buddy:

This was supposed to be Blue Girl...but it looks more like Angel Face, I think. Definately doesn't look like my mom's Blue Girls!

A blurry rosebud from a pink "unknown" I transplanted from the front garden. It's doing much better here than it ever did out there!

And "Nearly Black", which is neither "nearly" anything, or "black", but rather a very bright eye-stunning red. I had hoped for deep burgandy to go with the orange lilies, but the combination is growing on me now:

That's Sundance in the background - doesn't do the yellow rose justice.

I need to take more pictures - Sally Holmes, an unknown coral, Sundance, and Betty Boop are all blooming as well... :-)
