Hello everyone!

I'm a newbie -- I went from 6 roses to over 40 this year! I spent all winter creeping this forum (occasionally chiming in) and learning all I could and now it's paying off! I just had to share some photos with y'all...

Wowzers!! You have some gorgeous roses Karen. I went rose crazy several yrs ago and your total will grow yearly!! Looks like you're doing an awesome job! We have the most beautiful hobby!! Take care, judy

Thanks for looking!! It looks like I am gonna have a few more FFOs tommorrow or Tuesday, it is so exciting. Julie. My South Seas does have a lot of scapes, I hope yours starts soon. It is such a beauty. Mine didn't bloom at all the first year I had it. Anna - I overwinter many many pots of daylilies, and other perennials. I am lucky to have a room that I put them all in for the winter. It is like a cold storage room I guess. It is attached to my house, but you can't get into my house through it. I use it for storing all my garden 'stuff'. The heating ducts for the room above it are in the ceiling of the room, so it does maintain a temp. above freezing during the winter. I water the pots one last time and place them there after Thanksgiving, and then take them out the last week of March. I have not lost any. They do quite well. I am lucky to have it, otherwise, I don't know what I would do with all my pots. Christine - The plant markers are from AAA Quality Engravers They are located in New Orleans. They don't have a website, you can google them. They have an add in the Daylily Journal. I love the labels, and I feel they are well worth it, I am slowly replacing all my labels over to this one.

I bought the rananculus bulbs online and put them out a few days before our "last day of frost" April 15th. From there on I just waited for 'em to grow. the ones in sun/partial shade have grown the best. My experiment will be whether I dig up the bulbs for next spring or let them die and buy new ones(they like good drainage and summer and wet rots them according to online stuff I've read. ah well). I also set out some rain lilies to see what they'll do later this summer. thanks for the comments. can't beat double classic for sure. :)

Iddy Biddy Gal is sure a nice color and I've always liked Jet Setter, but know it would be mauve probably in my climate. I like a little variety in my daylilies, so a few smalls, doubles and even a UF have found there way into my collection from time to time...........Tall Dark Stranger is handsome one too...............Maryl

Carol, when researching and ordering, I was most excited about Koko Loco, Tattooed Lady, Teddy Bear, Distant Drums... Now I'm finding that I can't pick a favourite! Some standouts for me are:

Pam's Choice - prettier than I expected even!
Sun Sprinkles - was part of a package deal, turns out to be stunning and cheery!
Koko Loco - the subtle colours in the so-called "coffee" roses make me weak in the knees!
Twilight Zone and WBY - the camera can't capture these properly
South Africa - again, the camera doesn't capture the glowing deep gold, and the blooms are HUGE
Nantucket - took a flyer on it (couldn't find a really good pic online) and the blooms are enormous and lovely
Loving Touch - gorgeous and delicate, though it's the only one showing BS so far.
Coffee Bean, Teddy Bear - brown roses, coffee roses, love!

There are several others that haven't opened up yet that I can't wait to see - Hot Cocoa, Ann Henderson, Savoy Hotel, Veteran's Honour (DH's pick), Poseidon, Marylin Monroe...
