This one has just set for 2 years doing nothing,and I was about to SP it,and its decided to start growing.I got it to go over a arbor.

Berries & Cream

Dolly Parton,with not a hint of BS ,,yet

This Medallion died during the winter,and I was about to dig it up and replace it,when it shot out some new growth.

And the Yellow Henry Fonda,with a Belindas Dream sneaked in with some daylilies in the mix

It's lovely to see blooms - I'm not there yet! Henry Fonda looks so bright!! :) Berries and Cream looks like it deserves the repreive!!

Those are all really pretty Jean. I saw them last night late and came back to leave a comment but the first two pics aren't showing today. Your daylillies look great in with the roses too.

Nice pics Hiway! It amazes me how beautiful some cactus flowers really are. I don't own any myself. Cacti have WAY too low of a WAF (wife acceptance factor) for me to have some right now. She's still getting used to my increasing little collection of succulents. But I love reading about and seeing everyone else's! Care to elaborate on your soil mixture and setup? I saw a BUNCH of pots in the backgrounds of those pictures and like hearing about other people's growing setups.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments! Mocc- you are right about William Baffin, I just googled it to make sure LOL. This is a very hardy rose (to zone 3) and is easy to grow. My mom has one that is bigger than mine, probably because hers gets more sun. We mail-ordered these about 15 yrs ago. I originally planted it on a small trellis which it promptly destroyed. This plant is growing against the fence with no support provided by me. It has really big canes and holds itself up. I trim it back once in a while when it gets outta hand. I also have a dark purple Jackmanii Clematis which is growing up into the rose. It is just about to start blooming, I see a few buds showing color today. It looks pretty with the pink roses and purple clematis growing together. And to top it all off the rose grows well in quite a bit of shade. All the rest are in the front yard. The bed above used to run all the way to the back, but neighbor cut down all his trees and my giants (Empress Wu, Vulcan, and other large ones were not happy. They are now toward the back of the patio in the back, but they haven't regained their size yet. :-( This one likes its spot! Garage door showing in the upper corner here. Wish I knew what all these are. I used to have them labeled, but the dogs wrecked the labels and since they were metal one of them cut his pad on a label, so I got rid of them. I am trying to start writing down what I plant where, but I am not so good at keeping up with it.

lesdvs9;Don't know why they wasn't showing when you came back,as they are showing right now.But,you got to see them almost as soon as I posted them I guess.
Carla, yes,I injoy the roses very much,and have got into the daylilies alittle,too.I just love being in the yard working with them as much as I can.Back problems don't let me do everything I want to do,and some problems with the heart lately,too.
