greenhouse question

I decided to put up plastic sheeting on the inside of my greenhouse. The outside is polycarb and the structure is wood. I'm trying to conserve the heat as much as possible, I would use bubble wrap, but the stuff for greenhouses is so expensive, I purchased some cheap bubble wrap years ago, and after 2 yrs the stuff still had full bubbles, my issue is, it's perforated every 12 inches which makes it a real pita to work with. I figured, just plain old plastic sheeting should work well, since it will have a 3.5" air barrier between the polycarb and the sheeting. My question, what thickness of sheeting do you think would be best? Is 6 mil overkill? would 3 mil work well? I will buy it from greenhousemegastore, to make sure I get the UV protected stuff.
