Finally the troops show up!!! GO lady Bugs Go!!!

I don't use any poisons. I just spray the Aphids with water.

I think this is how the Aphids look when the Lady Bugs are done with them.

Great pictures... In the third one, it seems like the aphids would be too big for the ladybug to eat...

Ladybugs seem so sweet, not the carnivorous aphid killers that they are :)

Cool pictures! I've had ladybugs so bad that they would get all in my house. They are CUTE but oh so stinky! I hope now that I have lots more roses they will be content to stay OUTSIDE and eat those blame aphids!! April

well i hope someone familiar with TX .... discusses if this type of bug will winter over in your area ... if proactive removal is requisite ... as i said... it will be dead up here in MI ... inside a few weeks ... so why bother ... ken

The green spider-like bug is a green spider. It is not doing the damage to the leaf in your picture. It has the same general appearance as the common green lynx spider; those have tiny dark spots sprinkled on the body and legs and occur in the southern U.S.

No idea. I would return to the nurseries and show them exactly what you are talking about. Normally, if I do not observe them causing damage for several minutes, I then ignore them. Yeah, I know; hee hee hee. not a very scientific approach but oh well..... Like I said before, go back to the nurseries ad show them. If you find out this way, post an update.
