Heaven on Earth Rose
Comments (53)Heaven on Earth seems to be all over the map in color, form and health. I probably got mine from RU, so it started as an own root cutting. I love it even though it is quite floppy. It gets better every year and was almost all upright the season of 2020, with only one large cane flopping. The color is delicious and though not a strong fragrance, it is lovely. The blooms are huge. I would definitely buy it again. This isn't a typical bloom. It was the last bloom of the season and was struggling with freezing night temps. I'm posting it so you can see the color in cooler weather - quite orange and fewer petals. I like it best in warmer weather when it's the color of creamy peach ice cream. The beautiful photos posted above are what the blooms typically look like. Heaven on Earth, end of season, freezing nights....See MoreMelody Perfume and Heaven on Earth
Comments (14)I grow and love 'Heaven on Earth' here in zone 4. There is so much to love about it. The blooms are very large and the color ranges from salmon/orange to apricot/pink depending on the weather and the age of the bloom. Its true that the blooms sometimes nod, but that's because they are so huge and so full of petals. It has minor winter dieback and is mostly healthy. Repeat bloom is good for me. It has a light tea rose fragrance. I think you made an excellent choice in getting this one! Celeste...See Moreany comments on Heaven on Earth or Spellbound?
Comments (6)I have both roses and they are very nice. HOE blooms around the clock! Only neg is blooms droop a little but this is my second year and what I have read they improve in time. Beautiful color and it is one of my fav floribunda. Here is a picture of one of blooms from last year. Spellbound color is so pretty, so soft looking. I got an own root of it last year and planted late in the fall and it did not survive our harsh winter. I gave my grafted Spellbound to my mother and now I wish I could have it back! I will be replacing it soon. My mom loves the Spellbound I gave her. I vote get them both! Linda...See MoreMom's Perdita, Yves Piaget, Heaven on Earth
Comments (19)Stunning. Yves Piaget is my favorite rose, and my husband couldn't get the rose pot into the garage last year. The pot had frozen to the ground. He got all of my other roses in, but not my absolute favorite. It's so nice to see your mom's Yves Piaget. Isn't it huge!!!! I tried Heaven on Earth once. It sure didn't look like that. It might have gotten better over time, but it died in my great rose die off. I can't believe how gorgeous it all looks!!! Wow!! Carol...See More- 16 years ago
