Those are gorgeous, beautiful roses, thanks for whole garden, rose bush photos! You can almost smell the fragrance through the monitor:) Got bait, a few cats??

Wow;I love your back yard.Those roses are gorgeous and so healthy looking.But,we missing Pete in the photos.Glad that Gopher didn't get all the roses.They are beautiful.Thank you for sharing them.

Making markers for containers is tedious - I do it while watching TV and I have them ready and labeled before sowing. Lee Valley sells a marking pen that lasts through all kinds of weather. I do a kind of 'reduced HOS' by sowing very small seeds with 'seed spoons' (don't remember where I got them). You can easily spread them so thin that a hunk may consist of only 2 or 3 plants. Seems more humane. Northerner.

Well -- I imagine that they had an interesting Christmas gift-opening session (wonder if anyone else was there)! LOL! Reminds me of the time my boyfriend's mother (now my mother in law) gave me a fertility doll for Xmas. Opened the present in front of some of his relatives who were meeting me for the first time that day. AWK-WARD. (MIL didn't do it to be provocative; she bought it during a trip to Morocco because she thought it was interesting. Yeah boy.)

Shawn..So I'll bet you can never go to Lowe's or Home Depot without visiting the plant section, right? That's me..In fact, I am always frequenting the outdoor plants section too..I must spend a fortune on that stuff, but as for the houseplants, I am always leary like you...Good choice at leaving it there since you heart was telling you not to get it...I don't like plants that harbor mealy bugs either, especially the palms do, although if that was not the case I would have hundreds of then surrounding me in every room) Have you ever tried Jades or Fragrant plants?

@nucleartumbleweed... Congrats on the new Electrolux's (I have the older 70 WaveTouch series) you should enjoy your machines very much. What I do when I'm done using mine is wipe down the door glass, boot (the rubber seal between the door and the drum), take out the detergent drawer and shake it dry. Leave the door open and the detergent drawer open or leave it out (on top of the machine) to dry out until next use or for 24/48 hours. Use hot for your whites and you can do a Sanitize wash every once in a while to help kill bacteria not only in your clothes but in the machine also (use Sanitary for whites). Warm is now the new Cold. Temps in today efficient machines have been turned (dumbed) down. Warm is now in the 70-80 degree range (not in the 90/100's like they used to be). Use cold infrequently for dark specialty items that are super delicate...but most of today's colorfast times can withstand warm. Do the Clean Cycle when the machine promps you (Electrolux is every 50 washes), with a cup of bleach. Remember scented bleach or splashless bleach is not a disinfectant. Only traditional good old bleach is labeled to kill 99.9% of household germs. You can use "pods" but DO NOT put them in the detergent drawer. They go directly into the drum with the clothes. The same with scent beads, pods or scent crystals. Most of us separate our whites from our colors. If you want dazzling whites, wash them together with no color items. You don't need all the stuff we post here in pictures or talk about. We just get carried away here and simply must have our stash of new and improved or just discussed items. Ask if have more questions, there are a bunch of great people here that would be happy to assist you.

I have not seen or herd from the Varmint. It's just easier to tell people Hamster I mean Gopher. Otherwise I gotta go into what a vole is. I have Lots of kitties. Even got a new Samurai warrior - Siamese type cat a few months ago. Hand picked for his great abilities to swat things out of the air that are not even there. I guess there sleeping on the JOB. If that squirrel or what ever it is comes back. They're all moving out to the garden.

Oh Theres Pete.Guess he thinks them Gopher's are ugly and he rather play with the Frisbee,but them cats should chase them down in a flash.My cat has killed squirrels,before too.Your cats are very pretty.I love cats,and have two cats,both are black.

Jean I love cats too. I even feed three strays at work. They tell us they will fire us if they catch us feeding them. But I don't care. I still feed them.
