I took a walk around the garden with the camera this morning, it's so nice to see things starting to bloom ...

and a rose - Tipsy Imperial Concubine - so very very fragrant

saved the best for last

Beautiful Aprille! Your flowers and TIC are really beautiful and your pics of them excellent. Thanks for posting these. I really like the Iris just emerging and I especially enjoyed the ladybug having lunch:) I wish they'd show up down here, I have aphids running amok. It'll be another month before all the little toads show up for me. My fingers are staying brown from slicking & squishing them, LOL*

Wonderful photos Aprille! I love the alyssum shot! And the ladybug chowing an that big aphid is great!

I like old fashioned roses like Mystic Beauty, the name contains it all - they have charm and beauty which cannot be explained with words, delicate and subdued, these roses are gorgeous! Jamietee....that is a Fairy Rose, it's a landscape type that does well for me. I prune them back hard after first bloom, and they bloom again. Patricia...love your roses, gorgeous as usual.....thanks for sharing. Did you get some of that rain today? I was in Prattville at my SIL's and it rained there. Got home and it had rained here too. That makes 3 days we've actually got measurable rain in Santuck this week!! Jan

Umm, umm, ump, ump - UMH! Good stuff Jim. Glad to hear you got some rain. I've whined about our dry spell so I should report I woke up Saturday morning and my wife said, "we got 2 and half inches of rain" and I accused her of trying to pull my let. But, we did. So, while the watershed around here is still pretty dry, Amarillo is actually a little above normal in rainfall for the month. Probably been a year since we could say that. And I'm with you Carrie. Kind of hard to battle mother nature.

You have some very pretty blooms,Lucky you..Had to spray all my stuff this evening as aphids was eating up the buds and worms eating up the leaves,At least it wasn't the deer eating the whole bushe. Thanks for sharing your pretty flowers.
