Bringing Pepper Plants Inside for the Winter?

Hello,

I have a Habanero and a Cayenne plant that I've been growing all summer. Since peppers are perennials, I would like to bring them into my house for the winter since we have pretty cold ones, hopefully get a couple of harvests, and then put them outside again next spring.

Should I have any concerns about pests? I don't want my house full of insects, so should I spray them with anything before bringing them in? If so, what should I use? How much should I use? Should I spray the soil as well as the plant? They are in containers about one foot across. Is there anything else I should know?

Thanks in advance for any help...
