My Sharifa Asma changes color with the season too, but I can't remember in what direction. Some roses get darker with cooler weather; others get lighter. My 'Mme. Antoine Mari' (Tea) turns almost white in cool weather, while other times it's pale pink with darker pink shadings. It depends on the rose. Melissa

It's definitely not the RC, that one has too many petals, and they look redder and more cupped than mine. I have one bloom ready to go any day now and it's a Barbie lipstick sort of magenta pink. They look to be lighter this year than last. Dortmund looks more like it, but I think mine has smaller petals, smaller blooms in general, and it says only occasional repeat blooms on HMF. Mine definitely blooms way more than occasionally after the first flush. Actually, its first flush is often the least showy of them all. It's basically in a constant state of churning out blooms from May to October.

i am trying to identify this rose that my grandmother has had for as long as i can remember. it blooms once in the spring and then she mowes over it. it returns in force every year. the bloom measures about 2" across fairly strong fragrance. any help appreciated. Image link:

The shape of the bloom and the deeper pink reverse (back of the petals) on the petals looks more like Radiance to me than Queen Elizabeth. My QE never has a deep pink reverse.
