That's Othello and Emily in the middle, Jude the Obscure and Charles Darwin to the left.

Oh well, I got my taxes done.

And such pretty WHITE blooms too!! LOL Major bummer. I HATE snow. I'm sooo glad we only get one or two days per yr. My condolences...

Thanks Donna, Graffiti has been a real challenge for me also. Of 14 bulbs, I have only managed to coax flowers from one pot of 3 bulbs. A bulb I have had for 3 years refuses to send up a scape and it is the biggest bulb. I don't like the weak, "strappy" leaves that Graffiti produces. I love the flower but dislike the plant, if that makes sense. Hadeco's 'Fanfare' is one of my favorite double reds. I have the same problem with it. It's a reluctant bloomer for me and produces pale green, weak foliage regardless of light and growing conditions. I finally have 2 scapes growing from one of 10 of last years' bulbs. I just noticed a scape on H. 'Tango' and H. 'Ruby Meyer'. I love the cybisters. My pot of 'Ruby Meyer' are probably my oldest hippis at over 10 years of age. I have a pot of H. 'Bogata' that is sending up multiple BIG scapes as is 'Jungle Star'. Can't wait to see them in bloom again. Jim

No one wherever is totally happy with their growing conditions. No one here (well almost no one) can grow Dendrobium cuthbertsonii. The plants turn up at shows now and again and growers give them a go and the result is usually slow decline and death. I'm having a bit of a struggle with Oerstedella centradenia. What sort of daily and annual temperature range does it have in your conditions? Must be nice to go to your grow room when the weather is really cold outside.

I WAS expecting flowers when I opened this too:) I heard last night's news you guys were getting burried in this stuff. They said it wasn't letting go any time soon either. I'm sorry, I bet you're heartily sick of this.

My fondest memories were living in Zanesville as a kid, living high up a hill in the woods and sledding, ice skating on a pond behind the house and playing in the woods. My Mom's weren't with 4 of us:)

It's beautiful, really--but you must spend a lot of time looking at rose catalogs and waiting for spring! Surely it will warm up soon.

GEEZ, Glad that stuff ain't here,I hate snow.Grew up in it.Use to say when I was little,that when I grew up I was moving out of this stuff,and I did,and ain't been back since.

I opened this post expecting to see some pretty roses.

I did have to chuckle even though I know how frustrating this can be.

I love snow but only in the WINTER--not now.

Please show that same angle when your roses are in bloom ,

That is too funny, love a good sense of humor. Don't despair, you will have roses soon and me too I hope. And remember, snow is insulation, LOL.

Well, it is a beautiful picture and it looks like they are being well hydrated and blanketed and kept warm in the snow. I say it is better than an 80-degree week followed by a freeze with no snow. Just ask all of us southerners.

Mine are as beautiful as yours. I can't wait for some heat. We are being hit by freezing rain and snow right now. I hoped they would call off school today but no. I have to go to work.
