I just checked and there was a shopping cart! No "temporarily not taking orders" message.

Get that list out! :-)

I just went and took another look. The stock is really down--so many roses no longer available. I just hope I'll be getting the ones I ordered a couple weeks ago. I was out planting some from an earlier order today. Their roses have the best roots of any I've ordered. I'm sorry to see them go.

Yes, I noticed the low inventory also. Bummer. They do have a lot of Moores left though. That should make some people happy!

My order came yesterday, too. Two big, heavy boxes yielded 87 little pots of roses. This takes my already-out of control Ralph Moore collection to a whole new level. Ten of them were in the little liners ... not to worry, I've had those before and they do fine. (I love the description 'half banana' description.) Many of the Nor'East roses I ordered before have more than one cutting in the pot. My last order of 11 roses yielded over 20 when I repotted. This order looks to be the same. Once I separate everyone and get them repotted, I hope to be able to use the extras for trades ... hint, hint. Pink Ribbon is so cute! I'm also liking Toy Clown more than I thought I would. I was seriously bummed that I didn't receive Angel Darling, Cl. Jackie, Dian, Hoot n Holler, Jackpot, Lucky Charm, Nutshop, and Spring Song ... especially Nutshop, Dian, and Cl. Jackie. I would agree with you except that as I mentioned, they were indoor plants, and I'm sure I had them shipped during the winter/early spring so shipping wouldn't have "cooked" them. Unless I am misunderstanding your comment? I do know the climate here is extremely dry, much different than in PA, and my roses constantly got powdery mildew in the house here in Phoenix; yet in PA I rarely if ever had that problem. Since then I've been monitoring the humidity inside and it's been pretty constant at between 20 - 25% (of course outside it gets as low as 1%). I'm guessing Burlington Roses is no longer in business? A quick search brought up cached webpages but no current website. I do remember a favorite micro mini that I loved so much, I named my cat after it in PA - it was called "Spice Drop". It was a pretty small pink micro mini and did extremely well in PA, but when I got the same variety here, it got powdery mildew to the extent I couldn't save it. I got pretty discouraged about raising roses in general that I just stopped even looking at them. Although I see a lot of "tough" roses being raised outdoors here, obviously none are minis. I'm solely looking for a tiny indoor pot rose to try my hand at again. Perhaps in October/November when it starts to get below 100 reliably I will restart my search efforts.

Tammy and Andrew, please be patient with us at Nor'East. We got caught a little off guard when we announced that we were going to stop selling retail and focus on our wholesale business. We saw more orders hit us then we had seen all year to date. There are only 1 1/2 people who input all of the orders and we literally had everyone on the farm who could use a computer inputting orders. We stopped taking orders on the website so we could take care of existing orders. We still have plenty of plants of almost all of the varieties. We just needed to get caught up in the office and take some time to reorganize the greenhouses, clean up the plants and double check our numbers. What is the internet address you are using? If one hits www.noreastroses.com, there is a picture of a rose bouquet, then a list of redroses, pink roses, white roses, etc, and if one hits any of these a short list for proflowers.com, 800florals.com, gardeningclub.com, and so forth, which are fine for their purpose, but not a way to order noreast minis. The site belongs to noreast roses.com. Kathy

They seem to be out of every rose that I ordered. Since I said no subsitutions, I'm wondering if I'll get any roses at all. Last I heard, they were to arrive this week. Do they notify when they ship, or do they just show up?

I second that, thanks for the heads up cnetter. I got my order in for this round. If "Moore" roses go online I will try to get them, if I am fast enough.

Does anyone know if they will be adding still more after this second round, or is this it? The ones I was coveting are still not on the site now. Does that mean they are permanently "sold out" and that I will not be able to get them at all? (I did put in an order after round 1 of the postings, though, so at least I will get those.)

Deco -- I grow both Love and Peace and Rose Gilardi -- they are almost indistinguisable, bloom wise. L&P has a few more petals, but you would only see that if you pulled it apart and counted them. I see Nor'east does still have Rose Gilardi, which would be a very close substitute.

Thanks Kathy... Already had Rose Gilardi and wasn't crazy about the moss aspect... Plus I do like roses with more petals... It seems from the pictures that LAP had a bit more pink than RG. Oh well...
