whoooa. I went into to Maui Gardens today, trying to ID a flower.. Said no access...this afternoon got hit by a trojan..macfee caught it.. but odd concidence.

Jen who is the owner of the site knows what happen..
She is waiting on the network owner to finish their investigation before she can fix the site..

There is no trojan on those pages just look at the source code..
The kiddy who hacked the site is a very young retard who can't spell and it was very painful for me to read through his amateur manifesto..
A few years ago a similar hack came out which simply overwrote all the html files this hack looks to be the same..

Wish they could fix it faster...starting to hyperventilate! LOL!

I think Lopaka is right. Not to worry. I went on about 1:30 AM Pacific Time 11/10 and it said access denied. I emailed Jennifer (the owner of MPG) and she emailed me back saying it should be back up tomorrow.

So, she's aware of the problem and working on a solution.

I think everybody should have McAfee Site Advisor. It is free and has a good system of green, yellow and red like traffic lights to let a user know if a site is reportedly good to go (green) questionable (yellow) and bad (red - I double-dog-dare-you).

You sure can't have enough protection on the web.

I just tried Maui yesterday and it is still down. That is a shame that someone could be so nasty! Until I hear other wise I'm not going back, I did get hit with a Trojan on my other computer.

MPG store is semi working, but he forum is not up yet.

It's very strange that MPG got hit and cant seem to recover. Shane (PA) got hit, but got back quickly. It seems like someone has a vendeta or something. Scary how nuts people are! I really miss MPG and wish Jennifer the best and hope things get fixed soon. Why does it seem good people get punished? I'll never understand...

Well I'm at campus now so decided to try to go into Maui. I was able to get in with no problem at all, no warnings or blackages or anything. I would think they have these computers on campus highly protected, so...... Still don't know if I would try it on my home computer.

I've been told that you can NOT get a virus from the MPG site. I didnt and have been to the site numerous times from my home computer. It's something more complicated than I can explain, but you can NOT get a virus. I have 2 virus scanners and have checked them. Plus I checked with someone who is much more knowledgeable than I am about computers. The main site seems to be up, but I heard thru the plumie vine, that she may not bring the forum back, which is a shame.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she will get the forum going again. I miss it very badly!!!

The forum was hacked and was down for 10 days. I am very sorry for the disruption. I have not been able to return all functionality but I am working on it. If you find issues, please post them here.

Everyone will need to re-register. The old database was completely lost. If you were a contributing member and your membership was current, please email me your username and I will look it up and upgrade your member type.
