Cozy warm dashboard?

Well I had a thought... The thought is how warm it gets in ones car when parked out in the parking lot at work all day. And, how one could park the car towards the morning sun, wander out in the early afternoon, turn the car around, and get all the afternoon sun, all on ones warm cozy dashboard. I have a little stub of a plummie, about as big as ones thumb, a few Desert Rose seeds that have yet to show themselves above the soil, and a few little baby plummies. What are your thoughts dear wise ones on the cozy warm dashboard theory? And yes, I can say plumiaholic!

Laurie you really do have it bad don't you?! lol It is an interesting thought but a seed mat might in a sunny window be easier : )

Why not?! I read about the lady who used her dashboard to bake cookies this summer! Go Lauri!!

Yeah, I couldn't argue with her approach Carrie. Just wished I could have followed suit instead of trudging off to work. We had quite the pileups here. The overpasses froze while the rest of the roads were OK... so, lots of people surprised. A couple of interstates shut down. 35 wrecks. Come to think about, it, maybe the dog did have the right idea.

Thanks, Monica. : ). Your room looks so homey, and very much like normal life around here. ; ) I was picturing a wall color more like your orange- rust colored pillow when I heard burnished pumpkin. Aimee, it could be partly a function of climate, which might be why I find this to be a challenging decision! That's very interesting that you find cozy colors to be more intimate. I find that appealing, rather than off-putting, but we seldom have "strangers" in our home, and if they are here, I usually want to help them feel welcome and as much a part of the family as possible. Annie, can I come over and stay at your house and see what it's like to live in warm and cozy for a week? : ). I've seen a few pictures of your home, and it looks very warm and inviting. Thanks Lisa. Yes, the little blue library is off our kitchen. The kitchen can just be seen to the right of it. The doorway to the living room is between the library (errr, the bathroom, to be more specific) and the kitchen. Could we possibly get away with a color like this in the living room? This was my absolute favorite room at the home show this year. It's a dark bluish green.

I'd like to be right there with kitty ;0) But I had a hair appointment this morning and I have to go back out in a few minutes to mail a package. It's warmed up some from our overnight 30F, but the way the wind is blowing you'd never know it, it feels so cold.

Providing interesting items will focus the attention from rising to the ceiling. Consider using recessed medicine cabinets for medications. Running your top material up the wall behind the sinks is a much better solution than adding tile. Adding a narrow shelf to the continuous backsplash provides a surface for placing items out of the way of users.

Well nice thought on the bright sunny window, if that is one doesn't have dogs and cats that would love to tear apart something new. I'm sure if I put my baby plummies in a window I would come home to find them torn apart on one dog in particulars favorite couch. Either that or they would have a certain odor coming from them, courtesy of one of the cats. Cooking cookies in the car. What a lovely idea. Go in to work, come out to nice warm freshly baked cookies! Gotta love it. John I'll be sure to send you some, and let you all know how the dashboard nursery idea comes along.

The only plant that seems to get the attention of my pets is the lemon grass that my cats eat. My dog ignores all my plants. It's my youngest child that's a threat to the plumeria.

Cookies on the dash? It would smell nice.
