Comments (8)Center the sofa on the far wall (where the TV currently is) and put the end tables on each side. Get matching table lamps (26"-30" tall) for the end tables. You can put a larger piece of art over the sofa. This will address the immediate focal point as you enter this room. Keep the loveseat where it currently is, centered on the wall between the windows (if there's enough room when you move the sofa). Place the coffee table in front of it. If you need to scooch it down a bit that's fine, but I generally like to try centering off of architectural features first. You're looking at an arrangement something like this: You can then purchase a TV cabinet/console that will go on the wall opposite the loveseat. There might then be enough room to get a pretty side chair to angle in to the seating area. With this arrangement, you address conversation needs and also TV viewing. I wouldn't do an accent wall. Just keep all of your paint light and neutral. The carpet you have is pretty ... if you like it keep it. It looks as if you've already pulled some colors from it for your throw pillows. I would remove your valances, you don't need them with your fabric shades. Pretty furniture and a nice start to your room!...See MoreHelp! We bought a new couch and don’t know how to make it work!

Comments (5)Swing the sectional so that it faces the staircase wall. Remove TV from fireplace. Get a long, low cabinets for the TV on that wall where you can place some of the toys. Put the piano next to the cabinets so it's part of the family space. Child's floor space can be near the window to the left of the fireplace, with toy storage in baskets or inside the cabinet underneath the TV. . I've measured and feel confident the ladder is the perfect size and versatile option but someone can correct me. It's 25 W x 15 D x 77 H and it provides opportunity for decoration, plants, books, etc. and Espresso frame matches the stairs hand rail. 3) cool! that was 1 of 15 on my list. I tried high pile but feels too high. Now I know the one I posted is perfect, it's similar and low pile. TY! 5) got it, exactly my thought. I like a lighter tone like #5 but #3 (15.75"D x 23.62"W x 15.75"H) match more closely with the cart and I can use as a small leg rest w/o taking much space. I've watched the vid below here on mix & matching wood tones and spreading them apart for a coherent look. https://www.ballarddesigns.com/howtodecorate/2014/08/mixing-wood-tones-in-a-room/ 6) not yet, too overwhelmed. It'll be the last to think about. Planning to throw a white table cloth to temporarily balance out the black. 7) good point! saw but didn't occur to me that it would fit better until you brought it up. i'll go w/ the design you suggested....See MoreRelated Professionals
