Yes groovy, we actually have 2 raised garden beds that are 24foot by 6foot and one raised garden bed that is 22foot by 3foot. Plus last year we had 60-70 pots in the backyard in rows with chilis or tomatoes in them. This leaves a small area for the dogs to run and do their business..;) My problem is actually the neighbors tree that was only a sappling when I started my garden beds and now is a behemoth of a shade tree. One of my large raised beds is all shade (that is were I used to plant some chilis, lettuces, beets, carrots, peas,greenbeans, etc) and is now all herbs and shade tolerant items. The 22ftx3ft bed is almost all shade now and is filled with some herbs. WE also do some cool weather crops later in season (i.e.cabbage in july) there because the shade keeps it cooler and my dill/cilantro patch is kept there. The other larger bed is still in full sun and it is stuffed to the gills every year with anything I can think of (corn,lettuce,turnips,rutabagas,carrots, spinach,basil,tomatoes, chili peppers,eggplants, pumpkin,parsley,oregano,mint,cilantro,etc,etc). So since chili plants and tomaotes do so well in pots, we now grow all of these in pots and try to keep them in the sunnier parts of the yard. That way we can keep that one last raised bed for other veggies and various experiments. I love trees, but I know one that I wish would go away...:) kendra..:)

The Shepherdess was slow to start, but once it got going in its pot it came along reasonably well. It flowered several times, but it is slower to repeat flower than some of the others. However, this is just its first year. Next year it will be its first year in the ground. It does have a light fragrance. It seemed to be healthy enough in that it wasn't having disease problems with my regular spraying. The color is variable. It is a little more pink in the fall as shown in the picture. Usually it is more cream to light apricot like French Lace and Perdita. As of the first year, it does not appear to be a large bush, but neither did Carding Mill until it got planted in the ground and started growing. Ultimately Carding Mill grew cylindrically to be between 5.5 and 6 ft tall, but not sprawly. Time will tell with these. I hope it will do well; it is pretty. If it stays short like Happy Child, so much the better.

sloyd - yes, I think you are right about building out the plywood. Though think we need to worry about an edge on the bottom. At least the glass guy that was out here already said that glue is not enough for holding up the mirror, need something on bottom (I'm sure clips would work but think a ledge could kind of disappear.) horsenemisis - the details for my inspiration picture definitely explain there is a flat piece of mirror between two separate med cabinets. that's what makes it so great since this isn't obvious looking at it. I agree - the shim edges don't need to be exposed though the only way to open the cabinets is by putting fingers on edge - nothing to grab very well. But this is a separate problem and I'm checking out some other hardware that may help with this. And I think you may be right about there not needing to be a shelf (scratch what I wrote to sloyd) - If my contractor (not the glass installer) agrees, we may go with that assumption. Like your idea about the white boards - my contractor is more of a tile guy than a carpenter so glad to have more details on this. enduring - priming and finishing in advance sounds like a good thing for me to ask my contractor. Ive installed Thermosoft floor heating mats several times in the past ( I am a contractor). I donÂt remember any problems with them, even with support. The first time I installed it 5 years ago at my friendÂs house in couple bathrooms and kitchen. It still works fine and he is very happy with his warm floor. Unfortunately, there are no systems in the world that are 100% fail-proof. Anything can fail. Even Toyota, which is one of the most reliable car manufacturers, has recalls... I did have several failures with Suntouch and Warmly Yours in the past, the same with Nuheat. And those are very expensive! I don't know why... But sometimes, the failure happens because of mistakes during installation, which is hard to admit... I had to fire one of my workers after I found that he dropped a very heavy tool on the heating wire, nicked it and continued installation... After such thing the system may easily fail after a few months in that spot... However, I would definitely stay away from Floorheatech ( who also works under easywarmfloor.com, heatingonline.com, heavenly-heat.com, etc). They got "F" in BBB for the reason and I truly had a very bad experience with them several times. I would also avoid Warming Systems, which is a very small company, buying their heaters somewhere in Eastern Europe without UL approval and mostly doing business on ebay... I hope this helps.
