couple 'o pics: Bolivian Rainbow; (rare) Holland Red

Bolivian Rainbow. This plant is very small, but is actually doing well, considering it gets a maximum of 1.5-2 hours of direct sun. It had 8 pods but I ate one to see what it tasted like (no taste - just bitter heat; unpleasant).

Next up is the rare and hard-to-find Holland Red, aka Dutch Red Chili. This is a Cayenne type, but with less heat, preferred in Indonesia due to the Dutch colonial heritage over there. This plant hasn't been very prolific (total of 10 pods), but I think that's due to the weird weather this season, and also that it's in a bad sun spot. Normal yield is supposed to be 20-25.

I wanted to take a pic of the ripe Holland after I cut it down, but didn't want to set it on the ground for the pic, so I put it on my cat who was sitting there. I didn't measure the Holland before I ate it, but the cat is 16" long, excluding tail and paws.
