Starting seeds....

Ok so I may have goofed and I can use some advice.

I have 3- 4" pots with 4 Jalapeño seeds in each pot. I didn't really think they would sprout up here in Vancouver, BC. Problem- they are ALL sprouting. I planted one in each corner of the pots. Should I thin them out now? Let them get big and then try and separate them and risk damaging the roots? They are only an inch tall and don't have real leaves yet so I have a little time...but I am not sure what to do. Any thoughts and advice would be appreciated. Also if you have any general hints for a inexperienced apartment container gardener growing hot peppers for the first time that would rock. (Specifically how big a container peppers need, feeding, watering...I have NO clue here)....Thanks!!!
