Neem Oil application damaged my Michelia Alba new growth
Comments (16)Oh, I never thought about that, but oils do get rancid relatively quickly. I'll move mine to the fridge....hubby will love that! I have mix components all over the dining room, plants starting in the hallway, African Violet leaves rooting in plastic bags on the fireplace mantel and now Neem in the fridge. Sure, this is how everyone lives, isn't it?...See MoreWhy's my Michelia alba looking emaciated?
Comments (2)What type of soil are you using? If you're using a mix that has a lot of Peat in it like Miracle Grow...maybe its staying too wet and suffocating the roots? Also have you fertilized it lately...it might also be fertilizer burn or a combination of the two? I'm not an expert and just throwing out some possible reasons. You might try posting this on the Container or Houseplants forum...you might get a little more answers. Good luck!...See MoreMichelia alba, Michelia figo
Comments (6)rosa: I don't have a M alba. But my M figo (or banana shrub) is growing beautifully. It is in the ground, facing west. It is infront of our AC unit so might get a lot of moisture here. I only feed with coffee ground, which I do get a lot from the starbucks. It blooms in spring. Very sweet. Somehow this year it smells like bubble gum or tooth paste. I like how it smelled before, a very ripe banana smell. Changsong...See MoreMy Michelia Alba
