I have a B. nodosa w/2 new leads, 10 older "leaves", prev bloomed and a Potinara Hoku Gem 'Sunspots',6 "leaves", both well rooted, very healthy plants, both mounted. I can send pics. Tommy - Beautiful Cym. Wow. Fortunately, there are 2 sizes of Cyms, w/ some of the smallest getting only 8"-10" high. Among all Cyms, some are warmth-tolerant and don't need the chill that others do. Here come the cautions. In case you missed the earlier thread - Because your plant is from Hawaii, you might want to check the medium for tiny Bush snails. Evidently, they're pervasive as air in HI and virtually impossible to get rid of over there. The other thing is that many people have had rotten, outrageous experiences w/ Aloha (doing business as Da Little Coffee Shack) - much worse than w/ any other vendor I've seen on this forum in the 3 years I've been a member. The BBB Hawaii states they have an unsatisfactory record with them because of unanswered complaints. There have been a total of 19 complaints in the last 36 months. The orchid angels must have been smiling on you. :) By contrast, Carmela Orchids in Hawaii has a satisfactory record, with 0 complaints in the last 36 months. Aloha's site doesn't seem to give temp info for the Maureen Carter, but here's a listing. Looks as if it's warmth-tolerant. Andys won't have SB, its purely a species company. Many times nurseries have more plants than they can list online, so you have to email and ask if they have it. I can almost guarantee you oak hill or normans orchids (buyer beware with this one!) will have both, possibly even Parkside. Just email or call and ask about availability. We have begun show season in the orchid world, and many vendors are busy or away, so you might expect a delay in reply.

My advice to you, and anyone else is: DO NOT do business with Bergstrom Orchids. If you are interested in all the unpleasant details from my recent (2 months ago) experience, email me and I'll respond. There is a definite pattern that is going on with this vendor.
