That makes sense, since it doesn't have the red growth that is usually present in the RRD pictures that I've seen, but it was so odd - I've never seen anything like it before. Thank you again! Thanks much guys! -LL, that is a blue(ish) "Glory of the Snow", Chionodoxa forbesii. I looked it up and it is hardy in zone 4, maybe 3. They would look fantastic in your fairy garden area!! You may already know this, but the big Plant Expo at the Spokane Community College is on the 14th. Didn't know I had QUITE so many primroses until I started taking all of these pics! Got some of the double ones on a sale rack for a buck each a few years ago. Then when the stores put the no longer blooming plants on the sale rack I tend to snap up a few! Some of mine are so ugly, they are "cute.." : ) I have one tree "Pele" that looks like it went through a nuclear meltdown when the temps were Ahhh... very hot in the greenhouse last year.. Won't mention any names.. Cough, cough... He is still in the dog house for that one.. : ) I now have the temps under control.. This was the only one that looks bad.. So, your tree looks great to me too! : ) You are so right about our temps here.. We can have cool temps and then extreme heat. When I was first reading your description about swing arm lamps in the kitchen I wasn't so sure what to expect but I love it! I think what I like best, besides how perfect the color coordinates with your kitchen, is how symmetrical everything is. The rectangular lamps tie in perfectly with the square butcher block counter tops on either side of the stove, the rectangular tiles, the rectangular upper cabinets, etc. I'm a very symmetrical loving woman so it definitely works for me! Also - yay, boyfriend for hardwiring them!
