Any peppers that won't work in pots?

I can't leave them outside, so I'd like to know which ones I can grow in pots successfully to have them perennially. Or maybe easier, which ones don't work well in pots? I don't do super hots, but I have some nice arbol's and some thai's that are going to be ready to transplant before long. Also have an array in between all the way to mild bells. i have 12" and 17" terra cotta pots.

If they all should do OK in pots, then that simplifies things and I'll just decide which I want to keep later on.

Is this explained somewhere already? I'd be glad to read about it on my own.

Thank you!
Chris B.
