Sycamore lace bugs

Anyone have experience with these? I had a couple of low hanging branches I pruned and they were all over. I had started to strip the leaves for the compost pile, but freaked out when I saw them. The compost pile is right next to my veg garden, and not knowing what they were, I didn't want to infest the garden.

The sycamore tree is old and huge, no way I could spray them off other than a few bottom branches.

My inclination is to just let them be. I'm organic and would have to have a professional treat it, and a professional would probably want to use Sevin or something. That's not acceptable to me.

Anyone see a problem with just letting them have at it?
