Extreme Allergy Alert: Bermuda Grass Pollen

I'm not sure I've ever seen an allergy alert issued for bermuda grass pollen, much less an 'Extreme Allergy Alert'. This is just one of those wonderful years full of all kinds of weather and gardening surprises.

The linked article from newsok.com explains the allergy alert.

If you're mowing the grass and saving the clippings to use as mulch on in the compost pile and you see a lot of seedheads, I'd compost that batch first instead of applying it directly as mulch. The last thing anyone needs is a lot of bermuda grass seeds in a garden bed of any kind.
