Plumeria stem rot?

redondoaaron

3rd year for this plant in coastal southern california. Repotted into larger pot this winter and it came out of dormancy about 5 weeks ago. Was looking hale and healthy until last week when this stem got brown, squishy, and then started to wrinkle on one side (the back side is still green).

I'm afraid I may have overwatered and am readjusting for that. there was also a saucer on the pot which I would drain if there was standing water... but maybe it's feet are too wet?

this stem is still flowering however. is there any way to save this guy or do I need to cut off this branch?
