Are BJs particularly susceptible to sunburn?

I put out all my larger plants - about 50 - for 6 hours of direct sun yesterday, and again for today. Of the ~20 larger pots three are BJs. On checking at noon, I noticed that the BJs - and only the BJs - are show signs of fairly severe sunburn. (So of course I brought them in.) Close inspection showed no disturbing sign of same among the other plants:

Twilight, 7 Pot F1, Orange Thai, Lemon Drop, Red Fatalii, Moruga, Alma, Peter, etc. The Poblano isn't all that happy but wasn't all that happy two days ago, either.

So three BJs and all three have the same reaction, while none of the other varieties do. Is this a characteristic of Bhut Jolokia? Normally I hunt direct sun all year long. Should I expect to have to use shade cloth for these guys?
