Jim this is the cactus you sent me It's finally growing. Unfortunatly the cholla rotted

bed with takil that survived the winter. Cannas and 2 cordylines which I will overwinter.

All new plantings. cordyline redstar and a green one, a sago palm, some, canna, a yucca elephantipes and a 1 gallon trachy from pungo palms

The name of your Agave escapes me,maybe you know it already.

The Yucca you referred to as var Aloifolia,I believe is Y.gloriosa and your Cordyline may be C.australis possibly red star.

I have another bigger chunk of the O.Imbricata if you interested in it,I just cut it out a few days ago and don't really have a spot for it,I left a little piece in the cactus bed.

Your place looks great and I love the stone work.

Wow, great pics! You have a very nice collection! Your magesty palm is looking HUGE. Ive never seen it trunk in a pot and I think yours is going to have a really nice trunk on it soon. And that norfolk Island palm is also really huge! The red cordylines are a little less cold tolerant (I usually lose them around 20 degrees) but I think they will make it with good protection and the green ones should definitely make it with only a little protection. Your cactus are looking really good and those dioons make a nice look in a row like that ( I guess you couldnt sell them all yet).
Really great yard. Its definitely looking very tropical and Im looking forward to seeing some more pics when everything grows more.

Pug this particular one is not 8 yet!!! I've only had it for maybe 4 years if that. My hoya ciliata is 8 years old though and is finally producing it's first set of buds!!! These eriostemmas are so fussy about being moved or tampered with. Each time I got a new one i'd find a spot that I planned to leave it in as I know they don't like to be moved around. I had thought at one time about just getting rid of all the eriostemmas in my collection,they must of known something was up and decided to bloom!!! These flowers are rather large and quite hard to the touch,almost feels like plastic. I haven't smelled them yet to see if there's a fragrance or not.

Thank you everyone! Alex, that Buddah Belly I have had for about 5 years now. Would you believe I got it at, of all places, IKEA! It was very small back then and has flourished. It has to be one of the easiest plants on the planet to take care of. The Plumies are pretty "unstable" and top heavy. I have to weight down the pots with very heavy rocks! LOL! Would love to see your singapore! Mine is about 12" or so tall and has put on quite a bit of new foliage since I got it several months ago. I just wish I knew which color it was. Singapores from what I have read up on them do fantastic in a very sunny south facing window, and do not lose their leaves during winter. It seems to put out lots of new leaves, but is fairly slow on the actual amount of height it adds, which is just fine by me! We are looking to go to the Tampa / St. Petersburg area. In specifically, St. Petersburg or somewhere in Pinellas co. It is going to be at least a year, maybe two before we do go though. Were still considering places. Wherever we do go though, it is going to be at least a zone 8B or higher. Preferably a zone 10. Jim, thank you! That P. Roebelenii is my pride and joy. I LOVE that thing! One day my litter lone will get that large too. I just love the look of them, and I love how they really are "miniature trees". Brooklynberg, I think you can do anything in pots if you treat it right! P. Roebelenii's can get large even in somewhat smaller containers, as can Sago Palms. If I actually owned this property, you bet I would have cold hardy palms put in!!! I already have a S. Minor in ground, and that Windmill in a pot outdoors all winter. I have been successful in getting Windmills to do just fine in pots here, with protection and some heating of the pot. We are a warm 7b/ cold 8a here. We are in the middle of the urban heat island of Washington D.C., and we are very close to the tidal Potomac River, which also moderates our temps even on the coldest nights most of the time. Thank you protempsfish! I love the Blue Hawaii! The petioles and leaf margins and veins are a striking dark purple. I plan on getting more Colocasia next spring for sure! Thanks everyone!!!

Thank you so much,rosetom! I think sundowner has more ruffled edges than mine - on mine they fold back pretty soon. The growth habit and zigzagging are the same. JohnReb mentioned Folklore and Maid of Honor - IÂ´d never guessed there are to many similar roses LOL! All of these are listed on Help me Find as having a strong scent. Mine has definately no scent at all. It smells a bit green like leaves. Now I believe that all the Help me find pictures are mixed up too. Thank you very much for trying to sort this out with me. It appears that 3 of the 4 Samoan seedlings sprouts are making some progress with new growth. Don't know why but the 4th one of them seems to be near death, almost completely browned out. :( I've read the strong sun/heat can crack the husk too much and cause the plant to have a reduced resistance to the environment. Maybe sunburn, overwatering, underwatering? Maybe 100% success rate is asking too much. If it dies, I think I'm going to replace it with a Satakentia liukiuensis rather than another coconut palm.

Great pics! Thank you for sharing! What area do you live in? Just curious. I'm always curious what others are doing in and close to my zone. Im a cold 8a or extremely WARM 7b deep inside of the urban heat island of D.C. and very close to the moderating affects of the tidal Potomac River.

I love your prickly pear cactus. Those things go NUTS in our area, and get HUGE. Mine just finished blooming as well. I see you did the same thing as I and mixed in some Stone Crop with it. =o)

I'm so jealous of that Norfolk Island Palm, I've tried to grow one of those for a long time...but for some reason
they don't like it here!! ( or it's just me!!! LOL !!!)

No i have a red star. the red star has wider leaf margins and red leaves. I found this one mixed in with green ones at a local nursery.

All of my cordylines are red stars.

I'll contact you about the trade.

The NIP is not cold tolerant. I use this big one as my christmas tree then i keep it in a frost free garage

I think the Agave is Agave montana 'Baccarat',

another possibility is Agave gnetryi but to me it looks more like the former.

Keep the pics coming. The sun flowers are advance for june and all the gardens look well kept. Are some of those broad leaf plants too close to you tracky palms?

Jim I think your id is correct. At pungo palms they sold it to me as a hardy agave with no name.

Greg. The broad leaf plants are cannas. I don't really care if they surround my trachy because they are only there till frost. The trachy will get full sun from frost to mid july when the cannas overtake the bed

Here's a picture of my Gloriosa(probably in April/May)from 2007.

It's the one on the left in the pic,the one on the right is Y.var aloifolia,I separated them when I saw they were different.
Both were sold as Aloifolia variegata-sound familiar?
