At 3:30 p.m. today, the NWS issued a new Excessive Heat Warning for some counties in norteastern and eastern Oklahoma. It is in effect through 7 p.m. Sunday. (These counties are in addition to Tulsa which already had an excessive heat warning.) Most of the rest of us have the same old heat advisory we've had in effect for days and days.....and when one expires, they just replace it with a new one.

So, remember to hydrate and drink not just water but also Gatorade or Powerade so you can avoid hyponatremia (water intoxication) which is serious and can lead to death.
